Cheep Talk Card

I made this card with one of my favorite sets from the latest Stampin’ Up catalog, Cheep Talk. I thought these cute birds were irresistible!
I used Pale Plum, stamped with the Bella Toile Background set. The strips are Regal Rose, Mellow Moss & So Saffron. I also used the Sizzix Top Note die to stamp the main image on, layered in Chocolate Chip. I got my color combo inspiration from the SU color coach. That thing is such a great tool! To add accents, I added flowers punched with my 3 Flower Punch and adhered them with mini glue dots.
This was fun to make and I hope to use this stamp set for many more projects!
February Stamp-a-palooza

A few of my local stamping friends and I get together once about every other month to stamp and swap. It’s a lot of fun, low key, and allows quality stamping time! These projects are from February and happened right before Valentine’s day, hence all the Valentine’s Day themed goodies shown.
The first pic is of all of the goodies I brought home with me including swaps and the project we made that night, which was the adorable pop up can with a surprise inside.
The second pic is of the card I made for my swap. I used SEI Twitterpated patterned paper, the Fiskars scallop edge punch, and one of my latest toys, the Quickutz Silhouette to cut out the letters. I also used my kissy kissy lip stamp from Rubber Stampede and the “A Light Heart” set by Stampin’ Up.
Our little Stamp-a-palooza (as we call it) is always so much fun and something I look forward to each time. I appreciate stamping with good friends and being able sharing a such an awesome hobby!
Polka Dot Punches Double Slider

Ok, so one of my New Year’s resolutions was to get into blogging again. As you can see, I’m a little late starting this resolution, but I’m glad to be starting it late than never! I’ve actually accumulated quite a few projects I’ve made, so I’m excited to start sharing my creations in the coming days and weeks!
This card is a double slider card made with the Polka Dot Punches (Sale-a-bration) set by Stampin’ Up. I love this set because it coordinates with 3 other SU punches: the new heart punch, circle scallop punch, and 5 petal punch. For my front panel, I first decided where I wanted my main heart image and stamped it. Then I stamped other images in coordinating ink colors: apricot appeal, pixie pink, temping turquoise, and certainly celery around it.
For the last step, I stamped the heart image in White Craft Ink on Pixie Pink cardstock and embossed it with white embossing powder. I punched out the heart and adhered it with dimensionals over the image I stamped as a placeholder.
This card is definitely more intricate to make, but worth the results!
Cardstock colors: Taken With Teal, Apricot Appeal, Certainly Celery, Whisper White
Meet Olivia

Olivia is one of the Sassafras Owls! She’s from the Olivia & Pals stamp set from Sassafras Lass. When I first saw this stamp set, I had to snatch it up because I thought it was soooooo cute! I love the Sassafras line because their designs are so whimsical and fun!
For this card I used last year’s Stampin’ Up In Colors to stamp Olivia & Pals in different colors on the Whisper White cardstock. Then I used the sentiment from the “Time Well Spent” retired hostess stamp set. I mounted the sentiment on a piece of Tempting Turquoise CS which is mounted on a Purely Pomegranate piece cut with Scallop Scissors. Finally, I used the White Gel Pen to accent the scallops.
I thought this sentiment was perfect to use with this stamp set because these owls are so cute and “too much of a good thing is a good thing!”
Birthday Card

This is the birthday card I made for my mom for her birthday last month. I used the “Sweet Always” Designer Series paper, which is one of my favorites! (But of course, almost all of the Designer Series Papers are my favorites!)
I made this card with a simple layout and a retired hostess stamp set, “Riveting.” I also used the “Always” stamp set to stamp the background of the Regal Rose card base. Then, I finished the card by adding the ribbon and scallop circle embellishment. You can’t really see it in the photo, but I also added crystal effects to heart on the stamped image for some extra shimmer.
This was a fun one to make!
Pretty Flowers

Finally, some time to post! A few local stamping friends and I decided to get together regularly to stamp and swap. Our first meeting was last week and this is the card I made to swap. I would love to claim it as my own, but I got this idea from my upline, Patti.
The vases are made from the large oval punch from the new In Colors. I snipped the bottom of each oval to make a straight edge. For the “dirt” I lined up my stamp-a-ma-jig about a quarter of an inch above the white cardstock and then sponged Close To Cocoa ink. This also created a line at the bottom for me to line up the vases. From there the rest is simple. I punched out the flowers and adhered them with dimensionals. The stamp I used is from Dreams Du Jour.
Thanks for looking and have a productive day!
Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Card

Here’s a wedding card I made back in July for my friend, Julie. I used the All In The Family stamp set with Basic Grey Blush PP. I cut out and embossed the square scallops with my Nestabilities dies, although the embossing is hard to see in the photo.
Julie wore red shoes with her wedding dress so I colored the shoes of the bride red. My favorite part of the card is the Dazzling Diamonds. I used Dazzling Diamonds on the dress and also on the strip across the card. I adhered double sided sticky tape and sprinkled the glitter over it.
The “Mr. & Mrs.” sentiment is from the Fundamental Phrases stamp set.
Thanks for checking in and have a great 3 day weekend!
