Thanks So Much & Make A Wish Cards
It’s almost time to start a brand new week, but before that happens, I wanted to share a couple of cards. They were both made using mostly Stampin’ Up supplies and Designer Series Paper.
For the first card, I used the Bella Rose DS paper with the Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss matching cardstock. I also used the oldie, but goodie, Riveting stamp set which is a former hostess set that is now retired. Other supplies used: Making Memories Flower Brads, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, Choco Chip Ink, Nesting Circle Punches, Paper Piercer, and White Gel Pen.

For this next card which measures in at 3×3, I used the Sweet Always DS paper. I love the color combo of this set, which is Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, and Pink Pirouette. This is a simple and chic card made with minimal supplies. I used the Corner Round Punch, Chocochip Grossgrain, a Prima Flower and silver mini brad, and a rub on for the sentiment. Simple, cute, and just the way I like!

Thickers at Big Lots!
Enabler Alert:

Big Lots has Thickers! And MiniMarks! Both are $2 a pack. They had some other items that I passed on like Playhouse embellishments and ribbon, but here’s what I ended up with.
After reading a post on Two Peas on Wedenesday, I hopped in my car and headed to the Big Lots in my area, only for a big disappointment. No Thickers. I got the MiniMarks, but no Thickers.
But, I went back last night to the one closest to me and they had them! Not quite the selection as I would have liked, but I’ll take $2 Thickers anyday.
If there’s a Big Lots near you and you like Thickers, you might want to head on over!
Home Sweet Home.
It’s good to be home and almost back to a normal sleeping schedule post jet lag. I had a great time in Hong Kong, getting to experience the daily hustle and bustle that goes on over there. The weather was humid, but tolerable and besides a little bit of exhaust inhalation from being outside most of the time, the conditions were comfortable. I loved the shopping and all of the tasty, fruity snacks. I’ll be posting some of my pics in a few days once I’m finished sorting through them. There were so many fun and colorful things I took photos of and I can’t wait to share them!
On a scrappy note, I was able to complete some layouts (including one from my Paris trip!) before I left for Hong Kong. I got to play with the Pink Paislee kit I won too! Here they are:

That’s all for now…see you soon!
Another Weekend…
Well, another weekend has come and gone. It was both productive and relaxing for me, so I’m happy about that. I read a lot of New Moon and am almost done. After I saw Twilight
, I was hooked! I also caught up with the newest season of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” on my Tivo (I don’t know why, but I’m addicted to that show!) and got some crafting done. It was a good weekend.
And here are some layouts I wanted to share. These aren’t the layouts that I made this weekend, but I haven’t gotten the chance to share these on my blog yet, so here goes:

Here’s to a great start of a new week!
March Stamp-a-palooza
Last night was March Stamp-a-palooza with my local stamping buddies. It was hosted at Nickey’s, who led us through a super cute water bottle project.
Here are all of the goodies I came home with:

Another fun night of stamping and catching up!
That’s all for now…I can’t believe it’s April already!
Lucy Folch Class
Last fall (I told you I was behind on posting!), I took an online scrapbooking class from Lucy Folch at ScrapInStyle. Lucy has an amazing scrapbooking style and I am always floored at her layouts. She is one of my scrapbooking idols!
For her class, we made this adorable layout:

I got to play with gesso, mold paper with water, make flower yo-yos, and get messy with paint! I scrapped my niece because I thought this picture of her was fitting to the theme of the layout. Even though she is only a toddler, she has moments that I can mistake her for a teenager.
I was really happy that I got to learn a bunch of new techniques from Lucy’s class. I don’t think I would have ever thought of her techniques on my my own. If you get the chance, you should definitely check out Lucy’s stuff…it’s amazing!
Yummy Yummy

Here are some more projects I made with another Sale-a-bration stamp set. These 2 projects are made with the “Yummy” set. I made black bottom cupcakes for my friend on her birthday, and decided to spruce up the packaging to make it look nice. Plus, the sentiment from the stamp couldn’t be more fitting…”a little yummy for your tummy.” It’s amazing how much some ribbon and a cute hand stamped tag can add!
One of my favorite parts of gift giving is the wrapping. I love putting in special attention to gift to make it look pretty so the recipient feels extra special when they receive it!
