So my goal this weekend was to scrapbook and that’s exactly what I did. It feels great to have that caught up feeling. Although I’m nowhere near being caught up, I do feel like I made a dent. I had a lot of fun experimenting with different styles and products. I made some simple layouts and some busier ones. I’m not sure which ones I like the best, I guess it just depends on my mood.

On thing I can’t get enough of for sure though, is American Craft Thickers. Is a layout complete without them? Well, I didn’t use Thickers in all of these layouts, they are one of my favorite all time products and I just love using them! Here’s what I made with them:

It’s good to be home and almost back to a normal sleeping schedule post jet lag. I had a great time in Hong Kong, getting to experience the daily hustle and bustle that goes on over there. The weather was humid, but tolerable and besides a little bit of exhaust inhalation from being outside most of the time, the conditions were comfortable. I loved the shopping and all of the tasty, fruity snacks. I’ll be posting some of my pics in a few days once I’m finished sorting through them. There were so many fun and colorful things I took photos of and I can’t wait to share them!

On a scrappy note, I was able to complete some layouts (including one from my Paris trip!) before I left for Hong Kong. I got to play with the <a href="http://www.pinkpaislee.com"target="blank">Pink Paislee kit I won too! Here they are:

<a href="http://www.trishastidbits.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/heartparis.jpg"target="blank">

I read a lot of New Moon and am almost done. I also caught up with the newest season of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” on my Tivo (I don’t know why, but I’m addicted to that show!) and got some crafting done. It was a good weekend.

And here are some layouts I wanted to share. These aren’t the layouts that I made this weekend, but I haven’t gotten the chance to share these on my blog yet, so here goes:

Here’s to a great start of a new week!

And I got to take a picture with her. I was thrilled to be able to take a class from Celine, since she lives all the way across the world from me, in Europe. I jumped at the opportunity to learn from her and am so glad I did because her class was awesome!

Last fall (I told you I was behind on posting!), I took an online scrapbooking class from <a href="http://luzinhavip.blogspot.com/"target="blank">Lucy Folch at ScrapInStyle. Lucy has an amazing scrapbooking style and I am always floored at her layouts. She is one of my scrapbooking idols!

For her class, we made this adorable layout:

<a href="http://www.trishastidbits.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/letmeask.jpg"target="blank">

I got to play with gesso, mold paper with water, make flower yo-yos, and get messy with paint! I scrapped my niece because I thought this picture of her was fitting to the theme of the layout. Even though she is only a toddler, she has moments that I can mistake her for a teenager.

I was really happy that I got to learn a bunch of new techniques from Lucy’s class. I don’t think I would have ever thought of her techniques on my my own. If you get the chance, you should definitely check out <a href="http://luzinhavip.blogspot.com/"target="blank">Lucy’s stuff…it’s amazing!

I love Stampin’ Up’s On Board Albums! When I saw the new catalog had an 8×8 album, I knew I had to get it! This is one project that I’m really proud of. I really getting into the vintage, shabby chic look and am very pleased with how this came out.

The design was inspired from a class I took at <a href="http://www.sistvboutique.com/?Click=1891"target="blank">Scrap In Style (one my of favorite scrapbooking sites), where I made this wall hanging. After I made the wall hanging, I thought it would made the perfect design for my album. I learned how to make these pretty paper flowers and mold paper.

I haven’t finished any of the pages of the album yet, but when I do, I’m going to put it the on my coffee table for visitors to look at when they come over to my house!

Sorry, I know I’ve been totally slacking on my blog! Well, today I wanted to share with you another mini book I made. This one is the Stampin’ Up On Board Bitty Book. I made one of these for my mom for Christmas, but this one is a birthday present for my aunt. She really liked the one I made my mom for Christmas and jokingly asked if she was going to get one too. I decided to make her one and send it to her as a surprise for her birthday!

I used the Ginger Blossom DS paper and my Sale-a-bration stamp set for this project. Decorating this album was actually pretty simple once I took all the measurements. Then, I just cut the paper and adhered it with Modge Podge. After that, it was ready to decorate and embellish.

I didn’t really do anything fancy to the pages, but add a few flower punches. Most of the other pages I didn’t decorate since the photo took up almost the entire page.

Thanks for checking in and have a great one!

I just wanted to share with you a mini album I made for my sister in law for her 16th birthday party. I used the Dirty Laundry patterned paper from Keeping Memories Alive, a bunch of prima flowers and tape, the owl stamps from Sassafras Lass, and the Stampin’ Up Three Flower Punch. I’m going to send this album to her as a surprise so I hope she likes it!

The weather is really nice here in SoCal right now so I’m looking forward to a great weekend!

Here’s a page I did from my trip to Disneyland this past summer. It’s about getting soaked on Splash Mountain. I’ve been to Disneyland probably over 20 times, but the time I went this summer was the first time I rode Splash Mountain. I don’t like those long drops! I also don’t like getting that roller coaster water on me either. I guess with those rides, either the water totally gets you or totally misses you. Well, a huge splash of water got us after the drop and we were totally soaked! The dip wasn’t THAT bad, either, but I’m not sure if it’s my first choice ride though!

Supplies: CS: Stampin’ Up, Patterned Paper: SU Petals & Paisleys, KMA Dirty Laundry, Chipboard Alphabet by Heidi Swapp, SU 1/2″ circle. star, and photo corner punches
