Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! Here are some fun Halloween treats I made for the occasion. I can’t take credit for making these up myself though. I got the mummy idea from SCS: akjuda and unfortunately I can’t remember who I cased the other one from. Akjuda has a great tutorial on her blog on how to make the little mummy treats. When I saw these, I thought they were so cute and just had to make them myself. I used the 2 piece mini Kit Kat bars as the candy inside.
Here’s what I used:
Mummy:
Stamp Sets: Booglie Eyes
CS: Very Vanilla
Ink: Creamy Caramel
Accessories: 1/4″ & 1/8″ hole punches
Halloween Treat:
Stamp Sets: Booglie Eyes
DS Paper: Creepy Crawly
CS: Whisper White, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Scallop Punch, Nesting Circle Punch, Paper Crimper
I hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween!
Another True Friend Card

Here’s another card I made with the True Friend stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog. This time I used the coordinating Apple Cider Designer Series paper with this card. The coordinating DS papers are great because you can just use the same color combination for the rest of your card. Using coordinating products can take a huge weight off when designing your projects.
Here are the supplies I used for this card:
Stamp sets: True Friend
DS Paper: Apple Cider
CS: Kraft, Pumpkin Pie, Close to Cocoa
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green, & Chocolate Chip Markers, Ticket Corner Punch, 1 1/4″ circle punch, 1 3/8″ circle punch, ticket corner punch
Bronc Buster Card

Here’s a card I a made last night with the Bronc Buster set. This was one of the first stamps set I bought when the Fall-Winter Collection came out. I thought this set was really cool and different and I just had to have it! However, once I got it, I couldn’t figure out what to do with it! I was having major stampers block. Last night though, I kept playing with it until I came up with something. In the end, I am really happy with the way it turned out!
Here’s what I used:
Stamp Set: Bronc Buster, Linen, Three For You Punch Box
DS Paper: Outlaw
CS: Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Sage Shadow
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel
Accessories: Hemp String, Silver Brads, 1″, 1 1/4″, & 1 3/8″ circle punches, Star Punch, Word Window, Ticket Punch

Here’s a card I made for a mini card swap I did with my local stamping buddies. It’s with my favorite set from the new Holiday Mini Catalog, True Friend. This particular stamp set, along with all of the stamp sets from the Holiday Mini are die cut! That means you won’t have to trim the rubber around your stamps before you mount them! From now on, all of the stamp sets in the mini catalogs will be die cut! That means less work for you to mount your stamps! Anyways, here’s the scoop on this card:
Stamp Sets: True Friend
CS: River Rock, Groovy Guava, Wild Wasabi
Ink: Chocolate Chip, River Rock
Accessories: Chocolate Chip 5/8″ Grosgrain, Pumpkin Pie & Chocolate Chip Markers, Ticket Corner Punch

How To Make A Punch Guide
Do you want an easy way to see which punches coordinate with what stamp images? This punch guide is the perfect tool. All you have to do is get a sheet of cardstock, I chose Whisper White, and your punches. Then make a punch around the edges with each one of your punches.

Then you can use this sheet when you are browsing through the Stampin’ Up Catalog. Place the punched areas over the images to get a preview of how that stamp would look like when its punched out. Here are a few examples:

Here is the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch (p. 182) with the Be Happy set (p. 51)

Here is the Designer Label Punch (p. 183) with the Labelicious set (p. 130).

Here is the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch (p. 182) with the Brocade Basics set (p. 125).

Here is the Word Window Punch (p. 182) with the Leve1 Hostess Set, So Many Sayings (p. 17).
To store your Punch Guide, you can put it in a sheet protector and keep it in a binder.

As you can see, many of the Stampin’ Up stamp sets and punches are designed to coordinate with each other. With this punch guide, you’ll find more ways to use your stamps and punches and experience how versatile Stampin’ Up products really are!
