Party Favors

My friend and I threw our other friend a surprise party for her 30th Birthday just before Christmas. I made these favors for the party and also decorated this little basket for notes in which the guests could write a birthday wish to the birthday girl.
The favor is a “2 x 4 x 6 x 8″ box. I stamped “30″ with the Typeset Numbers stamp set as the background and then attached the embellishment I made with the circle and scallop punches. I printed the words for the tag on a piece of white cardstock and sized it (through trial and error) so it would fit within the 1 1/4″ circle punch.
I bought the basket a Michaels and decorated it with some metallic garland and ribbon. I also printed the words on the notecards on white cardstock and then cut the sheet into quarters.
My friend was totally surprised and the party was a huge success!
2007 Mini Book

Supplies: Typeset numbers & Polka Dots & Petals stamp sets, Cutie Pie DS Paper, 1 3/8″ & 1 1/4″ Circle Punches, Daisy Punch, Silver Mini Brads, Accents & Elements, CS: Rose Red & So Saffron, Grosgrain Ribbon: Black & Fairy Tale
I wanted to share this 2007 Mini Book Album that I made for my Mom as part of her Christmas gift. She was really excited when she opened it! I made this with the Stampin’ Up On Board Bitty Book, which is on page 178 of the new catalog. These mini book albums are really great to use. When you get them, they come flat and need to be assembled. Then they are ready for decorating and embellishing.
For mine, I measured and trimmed the DS paper that I used for the sides of the album and box and then adhered it with Modge Podge. Then I added my decorations and title to the outside. I trimmed a 3.25″ x 3.25″ inch piece of cardstock for each page of the album and printed my photos 3″ x 3″.
This was a really fun project to make!
Getting Organized For ‘08
Happy New Year! I took a blogging break longer than expected, but I’m back now! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and new year. My holiday was super busy for me. To start off my new year, I decided to reorganize my stamp room! You can click below to see my pics:
If you compare these new pics to my previous pics of my stamp room, it doesn’t really look that different. However, there are 2 things from the pics you should notice that I’ve added which are really functional and make my life so much easier. I purchased a 12 x 12″ Snapware set at Costco and am now using to store a bunch of stuff. I love it because I can put all of my things I need for crafting in there and pull it all out when I need it and store it all away and save counter space when I don’t.
The other thing I’ve added is storage for all my patterned paper. I hadn’t realized how much I’ve accumulated this past year and I have quite a bit! PP is my obsession though and I’m such a hoarder when it comes to it! I decided to use a regular crate that you can purchase at any office supply store. I love this method of storage because I now have all of my patterned papers all in one spot and it’s easily accessible when I need it. I put a flat cello bag in front of each design for my scraps.
Anyways, that’s it for now. I hope my pictures have given you some ideas to get your supplies organized for ‘08!
