On Board Album

I love Stampin’ Up’s On Board Albums! When I saw the new catalog had an 8×8 album, I knew I had to get it! This is one project that I’m really proud of. I really getting into the vintage, shabby chic look and am very pleased with how this came out.
The design was inspired from a class I took at Scrap In Style (one my of favorite scrapbooking sites), where I made this wall hanging. After I made the wall hanging, I thought it would made the perfect design for my album. I learned how to make these pretty paper flowers and mold paper.

I haven’t finished any of the pages of the album yet, but when I do, I’m going to put it the on my coffee table for visitors to look at when they come over to my house!
Embossing Tip

I thought I’d share a tip on heat embossing. As you know, when you use the heat gun, it can get pretty hot. I usually use a pair of tweezers to hold my piece of cardstock that I’m embossing away from my table so the heat doesn’t ruin it. I wanted an easier way, so I went to the Home Depot and purchased this 12 x 12 floor tile for $1.19. I also purchased these jelly thingys and stuck one on each corner of the bottom of the tile.
Now whenever I emboss, I can place the tile on my table, emboss over it and it won’t get ruined. I’m enjoying my “embossing tile” as a great new addition to my craft room!
